The arrival of autumn brings a welcome space for quiet reflection, renewed creative energy, and celebration. From the easel to the written page and musical score, this fall season has opened up wonderful new creative avenues. I am delighted to welcome you to the European Art Studio autumn update and share several new features and publications!

Featured Spotlight in Pink Panther Magazine (Vol. 17, No. 2)

I am thrilled to share that Pink Panther Magazine has featured a spotlight on my work in their newest release (Vol. 17, No. 2, Sept 9, 2026). Available both digitally and in print, this volume highlights my poem "Ogygia"—a piece musing on Calypso’s interiority and her determination to reclaim her agency after granting Odysseus passage home, inspired in the wake of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.

The feature also showcases five of my paintings: "Presence in a Silent Sweep," "Barely Stilled Radiance," "What Her Eyes Withheld," "Eyeless in Gaza," and "Sanctuary Under Silk."

As a companion to the poem, you can listen to its musical rendering, "Shore of Bone," on SoundCloud: Listen to "Shore of Bone" on SoundCloud

New Poetry: The Pinch and Half and One

It is a true joy to see recent poetic work finding homes in such vibrant literary venues. The Fall 2026 issue of The Pinch (Vol. 46, No. 2), featuring my poem "The Physics of Necessary Space," has just been released.

Additionally, I am deeply grateful to the literary journal Half and One for accepting my poem "Charcoal Hour," which will be published soon.

Looking ahead, I am thrilled to share a few upcoming milestones! My new poetry collection, A Singular Choir, will be published by Moonstone Press (Philadelphia) in just a few weeks.

To mark the occasion, I will be reading selections from the collection alongside fellow poet Arthur Feinsod and sound artist Kevin Naylor on October 30th at the BankOnArt gallery in Brazil, Indiana.
