A Singular Choir: A Thoughtful Holiday Gift of Quiet Reflection

Oct 29
2 min read

I am so thrilled to share the publication of my new poetry collection, A Singular Choir, published by Moonstone Press.

The timing feels especially meaningful. With the holiday season just around the corner, many of us are beginning that familiar search for gifts that feel personal, lasting, and sincere. A book of poetry has a rare way of meeting that moment. It does not need batteries. It does not expire. It does not ask to be used up or replaced. It waits patiently, ready to offer a line, an image, or a pause whenever the reader returns to it.

Preorder your copy today to have the book delivered right to your doorstep by mid-November, perfectly timed for holiday gifting, or for your own quiet winter reading.

And below a seasonal taste of what awaits inside these pages...

EARLY AUTUMN  REVERIES

That final light, a soft orange bruise on the sky’s membrane—it sighs away. And the peonies, yesterday’s red, heavy with what they knew of summer, have let go. They have dropped their heads, not in prayer, but as a turning-in, a return to the wet earth, the great, dark home.

There you stand, beloved, a slight sadness in your bones, not a sorrow, but a deep knowing of what is passing. The ground itself takes a breath, swallowing the measure of its own giving, handfuls of damp soil.

The world slows; it is all holding its breath, a pause before the immense work of winter. And then the wind, a whisper of steel and ancient things, passes over the old wounds in the fields.

It sings a song of persistence, not of victory, but of a deep, simple being. The sky exhales, a final red, and we are left here, you and I, holding these apples—small, firm truths, vessels of a heart that cannot lie.

Enjoy!

Warmly,

Gerburg Garmann
